What if we are away or unavailable for our selected dates?
Contact our Director of Coaching, Kevin Blokker, for special circumstances.
What age group will my child play this next year?
The registration system will automatically select the correct 2017/2018 age-group based on the player’s birth year.
Is there a fee to try out? Yes, there is a $15 tryout fee. Each player will receive a numbered, dry fit tryout shirt to keep, that will also serve as an official Buckingham United Club training shirt.
Who tries out?
All existing BUSC players must be evaluated each year, along with any new players wishing to play on a BUSC team. Buckingham United has open tryouts for all age groups each year.
What is a premier team?
At U16 and older, all Buckingham United first teams will be referred to as 'Premier' teams. We will form additional teams if warranted.
What is a typical tryout like?
A typical tryout will consist of a quick warm-up, small sided games and end with a full sided scrimmage. All tryouts will be administered by the Coaching Director, a member of the Coaching Director Staff or their designee. Coaches from last year’s age group teams will participate as evaluators.
How long will try outs be?
Tryouts typically consist of two sessions. Buckingham United reserves the right to adjust the tryout format based on weather conditions and numbers of players trying out.
When will I know who my child's coach will be?
Coaching assignments usually are posted on the Buckingham United Website by mid-March. When possible, Buckingham United also tries to post expected “Professional Trainers” by mid-April.
What should a player bring to tryouts?
Bring plenty of water; wear shin guards, and a properly inflated soccer ball. All tryout participants will receive a numbered tryout shirt.
When will I find out what team my child has made?
Players will be notified of team placement status within 48/72 hours of the last tryout date. Registration and payment to confirm your commitment of placement on the team will be required within 48 / 72 hours of invitation. Positions not accepted by this time, will not be guaranteed as other players may have been placed on a waiting list for a roster spot.
How will the players be notified?
