Soccer Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering

Volunteering is the heart of this great community youth sports program at CBAA.  We run on natural energy, which is you!  Giving back to your child’s program can be a rewarding experience.

IM/REC Age Group Coordinator - This is a volunteer lead role that helps organize events in CBAA IM/REC Soccer.  They help provide assistance and support to division coaches and teams.  This is an important role that is a liaison between the coaches and administration for a specific age group.  Specific duties follow in the next page.

Field Maintenance - Come to Herbst Field during work days to help maintain our fields and our facilities

IM/REC Coach – Our Intramural and Recreation teams are all headed up by volunteer coaches.  Coaches clinics and specific training is given to the coaches to ensure a fun and successful season for all.  Support is available during the entire season form our DOC.

Communications/Public Relations Committee – Work directly with the CBAA Marketing director to effectively market CBAA Soccer activities to our members and the general public. Experience with WYSIWYG is preferred but not necessary. Social Media and PR experience is also a plus.

Goodwill Ambassador – Each team will have a GWA that will promote good sportsmanship and help honor the game.

Event & IM Festival Planning Committee –You will have an opportunity to select a particular area of interest; concessions, vendor relations, preparing our fields, and more!  2 hours options are also available.

JIL REC Field Marshal – Senior Division - Assist as an official on the field to help ensure that the games run smoothly.

Picture Day Volunteer - Assist players and coaches on picture day to collect forms, etc.

Positive Sports Education Committee –guides the process of creating an organizational culture that promotes the kind of behavior and values that CBAA wants to see in its players, coaches, parents and fans. This committee is critical to the success of our mission.

Spirit Wear Co Chair - This position, along with a Co-chair, will be responsible for: (1) coordinating with vendors, (2) selecting fun Spirit wear products and (3) oversight of spirit wear sales.

Uniform Distribution – Assist your team/age group in distributing uniforms to players that have placed orders.

Volunteer Coordinator Team – Assist the Volunteer Committee person in organizing volunteers for various activities throughout the year.

Two - Six Hour Volunteer - Various opportunities arise during the season for just 2 hours of your time.

Head Coach

Coach (full year commitment). Attend Coaches Meetings.  Works with DOC and Club Leadership on player development/training.  Be available for most team training sessions (2xs a week) to assist club approved trainer.  Game Day Management, unless a professional coach is contracted. Works with Team Leadership on annual team plan and budget   

 

Team Manager

Manager (full year).  Attend Team Leadership Meeting.  Helps develop and execute the Annual Team Plan.  Coordinates communications on behalf of club & team leadership.  Helps identify volunteers on team.  Assists treasurer as needed.

 

Team Treasurer

Treasurer (full year) – responsible for all team accounting including collecting and depositing of team dues and fundraising money, paying team bills, recording of transactions against the team budget.  Organizes and maintains a bank account and financial records for the team for all monetary transactions.

 

Carpooling Coordinator

Carpooling Coordinator – act as primary contact for carpooling needs and set up team transport options for tournaments and games

 

MIC Volunteer Coordinator

March into Cups Volunteer Coordinator (1x per year) -  coordinate volunteer slots for BUSC March Into Cups tournament.

 

BUSC Volunteer Coordinator

BUSC Volunteer Coordinator (full year) – responsible for assigning team volunteers and tracking team’s volunteer assignments and participation at the Club level.

 

Fundraiser Coordinator#1

Fundraiser Coordinator (2-3 per year) - coordinate all team fundraising activities.  Responsible for tracking individual fundraising contributions and communicating to treasurer.

 

Community Service Coordinator

Community Service Coordinator (1-2 per year) - organize functions which the team will give back services to our local community or a charitable cause.  Involve players in the activity.

Photographer

Photographer (full year) - take photos at games, practices, tournaments, social events and share them with team parents via Team Snap or other means.

MIC Sponsorship Coordinator

Event/Tournament Coordinator (4-6 per year) - organize tournaments, social events, team parties, team meals, food for tent at tournaments, etc…
